Job Description

An established company seeks to hire Truck Drivers as soon as possible. If you are a qualified driver, apply online shown in the description below.



Duties:

  • Collections & Deliveries of materials, equipment, and poles, between yard, site, and within the town
  • Operating crane, incl. a cherry picker (man basket)
  • Assisting with installation of cable
  • Assisting with installation of mini-sub & mini-sub plinth
  • Assisting with the planting of poles
  • Assisting with erecting of overhead lines
  • Truck & Equipment maintenance (incl cleaning & storage)
  • Timesheets & Job Cards
  • Handling Logbooks
  • Ordering of diesel
  • Ordering of truck & crane parts when needed
  • General Yard Work

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid PDP license
  • Valid Operator Certificate for Crane – Minimum weight: 6100kg
  • English literate (Read, Write, Speak)
  • Minimum Grade 10 qualification
  • 2 – 5 years of working experience as a truck driver
  • 2 - 5 years working in a Technical/Mechanical Environment
  • Good health & physically fit
  • Sober habits (no prior history of excessive drinking)
  • Willingness to work long hours/overtime/weekends
  • Positive attitude
  • Neat & Responsible
  • Safety-conscious
  • Must be able to work with and without supervision
  • Punctual & good time management skills
