The Head Driver is responsible for the Southern Lakes Laundries’ team of Drivers and for ensuring the vehicle fleet is being maintained according to company procedures. The Head Driver will also be required to perform a Driver’s role.


Driving Role - the Head Driver will also be required to perform the role of Driver

  • collection of dirty linen from customers
  • unload dirty linen from vehicles to the laundry 
  • place dirty linen in the designated inbound goods area so it is easy for laundry staff to place it on the conveyor for sorting  
  • locate linen in the designated outbound goods area for delivery
  • load clean linen to vehicles
  • deliver clean laundry to customers
  • assist in laundry operations as and when required
  • always drive courteously and safely following company procedure, NZ traffic regulations, and manufacturer's guidelines
  • always employ safe lifting and linen handling practices to prevent injuries
