Hourly Rate: $25 to $35 based on license & experience
Take part in a physical role that involves physically delivering new kitchen cabinets, shop fixtures, and other large, new things to customers. You'll deal with customers and other individuals on the premises while loading and unloading trucks, and navigating construction sites, housing projects, and people's houses. You'll effectively load, pack, stack, and strap loads daily to maximize capacity and guarantee that they arrive at their destination undamaged. Pallet jacks tailgated 12 and 7-tonne trucks, and pallets will be the items you need for handling individual cabinetry or pallets. You'll prepare paperwork to ensure compliance for our clients and delivery tracking.
You'll deliver from our East Tamaki, Auckland location for at least 40 hours each week. Depending on experience, pay will range between $25 and $35 per hour. With occasional deliveries to other parts of the North Island, the greater Auckland area receives the majority of the work.
You should preferably possess the following qualities to succeed in the position:
- Class 2 license or overseas equivalent
- You should have experience with Class 2 trucks with a tailgate
- You should be physically fit to handle the loading & unloading of vehicles
- Also, you should have experience with furniture delivery
- An affinity to the building /construction industry
- Confidence to maneuver trucks into tight locations for delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as customer service manners
- Should adhere to site regulations, sign in and out as necessary, and complete documentation.
