About the Role

We have multiple full-time permanent positions available at our Blacktown depot.

  • Permanent Rates: $31.43 per hour on weekdays (shift loadings from 15% - 100% depending on times of operation)
    • Saturdays: $47.15 per hour
    • Sundays: $62.87 per hour
    • Public Holidays: $78.59 per hour
  • Daily Attendance Allowance: $17.92

About Us

At Busways, we prioritize quality customer service, stakeholder engagement, and employee development. For over 80 years, we’ve delivered professional, reliable services. We operate bus service contracts for Transport for NSW in Western Sydney, North Shore, and West, Central Coast and North Coast, and the South Australian Public Transport Authority in Adelaide’s Outer South. With a team of over 2,800 people, we transport over 53.7 million passenger journeys annually, ensuring seamless customer journeys.


Hours of Work

Drivers must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights. Full-time drivers will often work split shifts, covering peak times:

  • Morning: 6:00am to 10:00am
  • Afternoon: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

During off-peak times, you can leave the depot or use our driver facilities. Straight shifts may also be available.

All depots operate seven days a week, with Sunday and public holiday shifts as voluntary overtime.


Eligibility to Apply

  • A current and valid medium rigid (MR) driver’s license (or above)
  • A current and valid NSW Bus Driver Authority
  • A current and valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

If you do not have the required license and authority, Busways may offer you paid induction and mentor training.
