Big Chill Distribution Ltd (a subsidiary of Freightways Ltd) is a leading refrigerated transport company with Nine Depots spanning across the North and South Islands.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to work out of our Christchurch Depot in Hornby.

You will be involved in delivering training programs as part of our Business Performance scheme that delivers a robust Incentive Program to over 160 Drivers nationwide. With such a large number of drivers on the road every day, our Driver Trainers are an integral part of our company and keeping our drivers at the level they need to be.


This role is very hands-on and you should be prepared to spend full shifts training drivers. This role may also involve some driving at times.

Desired skills & experience:
• Class 5 Full Drivers Licence
• I-Endorsement and have previously held a Certificate of Authorisation from NZTA
• Substantial year's experience operating heavy vehicles on NZ Roads
• Previous driver training experience
• SAFED Instructor training experience would be advantageous
• Provide Standard Operating Procedure training to staff
• Ability to travel

Big Chill Distribution Ltd is a registered training organization with NZTA.
